Derby airport terminal redevelopment
Client: Shire of Derby-West Kimberley
Project Value: $8.05 Million
This project involved the construction of the new arrivals/ departures’ terminal at the Derby Airport. In addition to an upgrade of the lighting, fire equipment and apron at the airport - to meet minimum standards.
The Derby project was jointly funded by the Federal Government and Shire of Derby – West Kimberley.
Our Involvement
• Initial stakeholder consultation to establish the need and articulate the aims of the project
• Business Case Preparation
• Completion and submission of funding applications to industry and government bodies
• Scope development and definition
• Preparation of architectural design brief
• Procurement of architectural consultant and all sub consultants required to complete detailed design documentation
• Quality Assurance of design outcomes to ensure project scope is achieved
• Engagement with Local and State Legislative Authorities to provide the Youth Involvement Council with ongoing tenure of the site
• Procurement of statutory approvals
• Preparation and distribution of tender documentation including detailed assessment of all submissions
• Preparation and execution of contract documents with preferred contractor identified during tender analysis process;
• Superintendent role for the contract
• Coordination and completion of Quality Assurance inspections of onsite construction works to ensure compliance with project scope and specification
