Yindjibarndi Tourism Strategy and Business Plan

 
 

CLIENT: Yindjibarndi Aboriginal Corporation

Yindjibarndi People have long-term aspirations to increase employment outcomes on country, as well as enhancing and disseminating the education of Aboriginal culture. Yindjibarndi Aboriginal Corporation (YAC) secured funds to develop a Tourism Strategy and Business Plan to assist in implementing this aspiration.

RFF was engaged to lead the preparation of the strategy and business plan, alongside Yindjibarndi Elders. The project included On Country trips accompanied by Yindjibarndi Rangers and Tourism WA. This led to the development of a detailed tourism strategy and the ability to identify the sites and the product suitable for development.

The strategy assisted Yindjibarndi Aboriginal Corporation to successfully obtain exclusive rights to develop the first eco-retreat in the Millstream Chichester National Park.
